Intelligent Auto Hook

Automatic Hook

32 permanent neodymium magnets attract, centre and orient the masterlink automatically. An optional magnet sensor confirms when the ring is in position, and all activity can be recorded in the eMAX remote control.

Efficient Crane Hook

Efficient Lifting Hook

Removable, rechargeable Li-ion battery that charges in three hours. The evo2 runs up to 112 hours on standby or 2,783 cycles at one cycle every 3 minutes; the evo5 to evo25 allow up to 5,000 cycles or 250 hours on standby. Designed to reduce energy consumption during every lifting operation.

Powerful Release

Remote Release Hook

The electric motor releases slings and lifting accessories remotely — no more problems with heavy slings. The motor is clutch-protected, so overloads or impacts do not damage it. Maximum releasable weight: 8 kg on the evo2 and evo2L, 15–30 kg on the evo5 and evo10c, and 20 kg on the evo10, evo20c, evo20 and evo25. For higher values, contact our sales team.

Built for Tough Conditions

Tough Lifting Hook

Designed for steel mills, ports, and demanding industrial environments. WELDOX® high-strength structural steel body, forged hook, and impact- and corrosion-resistant coating. Operating range from -20 °C to 60 °C, with a Thermal Protector option for high radiated heat.

Benefits of Automatic Crane Hooks vs. Manual Hooks

Greater safety

  • –In high-altitude operations, the risk of fatal accidents is eliminated.
  • –Reduction of injuries by eliminating repetitive movements such as climbing on and off the truck.
  • –Risk of hand injuries eliminated — no need to touch slings or lifting accessories.
  • –When handling toxic loads, operator contact with them is avoided.

Greater comfort and convenience

  • –Operators no longer need to perform physically demanding tasks or use manual tools.
  • –Working conditions improve, along with productivity and safety.

Efficiency and precision

  • –Greater precision and control during lifting operations minimises risk of load damage.
  • –Works with all crane types — no installation required.

Automatic Crane Hooks for Remote Control Cranes

Open and close the hook, receive real-time information about weight, battery level, and other values during every lifting operation. Like all Elebia lifting products, the evo hooks are compatible with our full range of remote controls — allowing simple, flexible, precise, and reliable fail-safe control.

Remote Control Crane Hook

FAQs — Automatic Crane Hooks

Is it possible to open the hook with the load suspended?

No. Thanks to the fail-safe design on all Elebia hooks, the hook cannot open and drop a suspended load. Gravity keeps the hook closed. The electric motor does not have enough power to rotate it under load. (*) It does allow releasing slinging accessories within the maximum releasable weight of each model.

Can the Elebia hook be controlled using the crane’s remote control?

Yes. With the eINST installable remote control, the hook can be operated directly from the crane controls. The system is universal and compatible with all remote control manufacturers.

Can multiple hooks be controlled with the same remote?

Yes. The eMAX remote control allows simultaneous control of up to 24 automatic hooks.

Is the Elebia system valid for all types of cranes?

Yes. All Elebia hooks work with removable rechargeable batteries and radio control. No crane installation is required.

What is the lifting capacity of the evo range?

The evo range covers from 2.5 t (evo2) to 25 t (evo25), with a 4:1 safety factor. The working load limit of each hook is indicated on its CE plate.

Should I choose the evo2 or the evo2L?

Both share the same 2,500 kg WLL, weight, battery and remote engage and release. The evo2 is very compact and best for tight spaces, smaller rings, or a single masterlink or sling. The evo2L has a slightly deeper and longer body, recommended for two or more lifting points, two slings or thick slings.

What is the difference between the evo10 and the evo10c, or the evo20 and the evo20c?

The compact versions (evo10c and evo20c) have the same working load limit as the evo10 and evo20, in a shorter and lighter body.

In what conditions can the evo hooks operate?

The evo hooks are designed for normal atmospheric conditions, in a temperature range from -20 °C to 60 °C. They must not be exposed to acids, alkalines or their vapours. For high radiated heat, explosive atmospheres or marine environments, see the special configurations above.

What is the warranty on Elebia products?

The evo hooks carry a 2-year warranty covering parts and labour. Batteries have a separate 12-month warranty.

What maintenance do the evo hooks require?

The operator should check the hook before every shift and every lift — CE plate, structure, range of motion and latch. Frequent visual inspections and periodic inspections by a qualified person are also required. In normal service, periodic inspection is yearly; in heavy or severe service it is more frequent. Full guidelines are included in the user manual.

What is the service life of an evo hook?

Each evo model has a maximum service life defined in cycles, indicated in the user manual. Once it is reached, the hook must be removed from service.

Looking for a different lifting solution?

If your operation only needs remote release, or involves fixed or oversized lifting points, these Elebia ranges may be a better fit.
